Oil paintings are timeless. Painted with proper technique and understanding of what makes a painting healthy, they will last for centuries. My tutor taught me the technique of alla prima, which is applying the different strokes of color next to each other, without the over blending of the paint. This is what gives vitality to the painting. The Impressionists took this a step further and did even less blending, allowing the viewer’s eyes to do so instead. Science & art are related. All these paintings listed here are one of a kind. All were created with sincerity and purpose.
